Miguel Juárez serves as president and executive director of San Fernando Valley Small Business Development Corporation dba Golden State CDC. He has worked in the SBA lending industry over 17 years at national and community banks where he developed, negotiated, and underwrote bank debt. He has a thorough understanding of financial analysis, risk management, and SBA standard operating procedures.
Miguel is a graduate of the prestigious national school of banking, Pacific Coast Banking School in Seattle, Washington and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from California State University at Northridge.
Prior to joining Golden State CDC, Juárez served as director of lending at VEDC where he oversaw all loan production in the Western U.S. as well as all SBA lending throughout the U.S. Juárez led VEDC to 2nd place in SBA Community Advantage lending for two consecutive years.
Miguel serves on the board of Academia Avance Charter School in Highland Park.
